James Brough
NOVEMBER 1933 - FEBRUARY 2018
James saw his first chow in the mid 1970’s, and decided right
then and there that he had to have one. Research and getting to
meet mentors in the Denver area started a life long journey. It
took a couple of years but he and Sue finally found a blue girl that
they named Pooh Bear from Vigil and Georgia Brantley. This
was the start of their journey into the world of dog shows and
the love of Chow Chows. Virgil and Georgia became friends
and were invaluable in sharing their knowledge of breeding and
showing dogs. James became breeder, mentor and supporter of
the breed. He always shared his knowledge with new people that
were interested in owning Chows. At the shows he would quietly
sit ringside, observe, answer questions and support all who were
showing their dogs. We will miss his presence but we know that
he has crossed the rainbow bridge and has been reunited with his
beloved dogs. Thank you Jim, for being a good friend and for
loving and appreciating this wonderful breed.
