Bret Bartley Named President

of Gibson Plumbing Company

Barry Bankler, owner of Gibson Plumbing Company
announced the promotion of Bret Bartley to President of the
company. Barry shared the following at the announcement
dinner that was held.
What a sixteen-year ride it has been for me. Gibson
Plumbing has grown about 900% in that time but the growth is
only a part of the story. The story I see includes a lot of personal
growth and development.
I can’t tell you how proud I am of Bret and the team.

It starts with my wife Bonnie. She the one who inspires me
and keeps me grounded. She helps me get though all the
highs and especially the lows. She can always help me see the
big pictures.
The journey began with Rusty. He was our Master Plumber
and ran the field. I had a different approach of how to take
the company. He learned quickly and effectively of how we
wanted to work with our builders and employees on a more
cooperative basis. Rusty taught me the true meaning of
integrity.
Bret was hired, October 31, 2005 as the controller and
focusing on labor. Both the field and purchasing/operations
were running great. Then the downturn came, you better have
someone you can really count on. Bret was that someone. We
met daily at that conference table in his office. No stone was
left unturned and turn many times. Together we found a way
forward.
Bret Bartley, President, Gibson Plumbing Company Bret has been the driving force for some time now. Naming

him President just feels right because he has already earned
the respect and the position.
Bret has learned a lot in 14 years, the most important
thing, if we don’t make our customers successful, we won’t be
successful.
Sometimes, in the heat of the rush to keep the jobs moving
it gets lost that our customers believe in us. We feel this support
and appreciation in Single Family we get new starts daily. In
Multifamily, new contracts! We appreciate this affirmation.
Bret, will keep doing the right thing for our employees,
so they are focused to help our customers succeeded. Just
remember - This is just another step along the way. Not the
destination.
