LOOKING TO THE FUTURE

Your association has a few great networking events coming up in August. Please join me, Jeff Czar with Century Communities,
and Bryan Smith with Vision Design+Build for the PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE PRESIDENT’S Panel at 4:00pm at The Tile Shop,
5219 De Zavala Road, Ste. 300, San Antonio, prior to the Membership Mixer at 5:30pm on Thursday, August 15 . If you are a new

member, this is a great meeting to get to know your Senior Officers, find out what has been accomplished over the past few
years, and hear about what the future holds.

SPORTING CLAYS

I want to thank Christian Finke, with Builders FirstSource, and his committee for all their hard work on the upcoming Sporting
th
Clay Tournament. Please join us on Thursday, August 29 , from 8:00am – 2:30pm at the National Shooting Complex. A few
teams are still available. Entry fee is $600 per 4-person team.

WE INVITE YOU TO JOIN A COMMITTEE OR SUBMIT YOUR NAME AS A NOMINATION FOR THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Your Association has several dynamic committees and councils and we invite you to join one of these important groups. Our
Government Affairs Committee meets every other month and we have City Teams active in eleven cities that our members are
building and developing in. The Young Professional Leadership Council (YPLC) is a very active group of members 45 years old
and under. They host several events a year to include networking events, education classes and perform community service
projects, as a group, three to four times a year.

If you have a desire to run for the GSABA Board of Directors, self-nominations are due before August 31st. If you would like to
place your name on the ballot, please call Kristi Sutterfield, our Executive Vice President at 210-696-3800. The term is for three
years. Four Builder and two Associate members will be elected to serve in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
