IMPORTANT EXPLANATORY EVIDENCE

DISCUSS
After a common-law relationship lasting
several years, the man attempts to murder
the woman by stabbing her on her neck.
There are no witnesses to the incident,
other than the victim. The defence is one of
denial/fabrication, the particulars being
that an intruder committed the act. Six
months prior to the attempted murder,
there was a dispute between the man and
the woman, not involving violence, but
where the man made a threat to kill the
woman at some point in time.
