Objective: To expose participants to the existence of the Bench
Book, its menu of topics and to suggest optimal ways of usage.
9:15 – 10:15 The Writing of Reasons
Presenter: Justice Mark Mohammed, JA
Objectives: at the end of the session, participants will:
(i) be able to identify core issues
(ii) be able to analyse evidence
(iii) be able to apply relevant law
(iv) be able to write and deliver reasons in a timely manner
and
(v) develop skills to enable them to give comprehensive,
contemporaneous oral reasons.
