WHAT IS GOOD CHARACTER?
■ A person with a good character is one who has
respectfully conformed to the laws of the land and
whose behaviour has matched the accepted values or
morals of society.
■ A defendant of good character may be less likely to
have committed an offence (propensity) and more
likely to be telling the truth (credibility).
