year are not qualified to participate in the SCUAA Sports Competition.

j. Athletes classified as member of the Armed Forces of the

Philippine (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) are

disqualified to participate in the SCUAA Sports Competitions.

k. Athletes who won in the CvSu University Games should be

assessed by the University coach of a particular sort event if the

athletes are qualified in the university pool of varsity athletes as a

requirement to become a university athlete to compete in the SCUAA

and other sports competitions.

Policy Guidelines on the Selection of Varsity Athletes

a. A one-semester residency is required before a student can qualify as

varsity athlete.

b. Palarong Pambansa player/athletes are exempted from one-semester

residency recruitment upon submission of Certificate of Participation in

Palarong Pambansa from national coach.

c. All applicants must pass the try-out

d. Transferees from other universities/colleges who wish to apply as varsity

athlete must submit recommendation letter from Sport Director/Trainer/Coach

or other higher authorities from the previous university/college.

e. Freshmen and transferee must present certificate of good moral from the

school last attended.

To maintain standing as varsity athletes, the students must not have a

failing grades.
