ANNUAL REPORT 2016

 CAVITE STATE UNIVERSITY
 TRECE MARTIRES CITY CAMPUS

In spite of the massive implementation of the K-12 program, Cavite State University-Trece Martires City Campus had only 2.2 %
decrease in enrolment with 694 students in three degree and three non-degree programs for the First Semester SY 2016-2017. A
decrease of 16 students was recorded for this first semester, but remained strong despite the decrease of enrolment rate.

The Campus is headed by Dr. Lynn G. Penales, the former dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Penales is also the campus
dean of CvSU General Trias and Tanza campuses.

The number of full Time faculty members had increased this year, from 8 to 9 while the Part Time faculty members had decreased
from 21 to 17. The campus has a total of 26 faculty members expert in their field of specialization and seven support staff.

This year also was the eye opener for the students of the campus to pursue not only academic excellence but also professional
growth by joining different contest/competition and attending different seminars/trainings inside and outside the university.
Students as well as faculty members are enthusiastic to conduct research development for the benefit and development of the
 campus.

There was 30.12% increase in the number of student scholars compared last year, with only 83 scholars wherein there are 108
 scholars for this year.

Despite the particular challenges of 2016, we reported one of the best financial years in our history and increased our earnings
versus 2017, while also strengthening our competitive position.

Lack of adequate funding and resources to start the construction of the school building on its new location continued to be the
main challenge for the campus. The Cavite State University Trece Martires City new direction as enshrined by the Campus Dean
reveals intensification of resource mobilization and continued financial sourcing to accommodate the campus’ increasing number
of population, to improve quality and to provide equal opportunities among students of Trece Martires City and nearby locations.
