Definitions
        OEM  Original Equipment Manufacturer              As part fitted originally by the manufacturer or available
                                                          as a spare part from the manufacturer, generally as
                                                          supplied when the vehicle was delivered new.
                                                          This may also include parts manufactured by a supplier
                                                          to the vehicle manufacturer. An example would be an
                                                          Alcoa alloy wheel supplied by Alcoa rather than Volvo.

        Wheel Rim                                         The circular steel or alloy component that provides
                                                          connection of the tyre to the vehicle.

        Wheel Assembly                                    The combined wheel rim and tyre (i.e. fitted together)

        Calibration                                       Process of ensuring measuring devices are accurately
                                                          measuring and displaying the correct value.

        Re-cutting/Re-Grooving                            The process of cutting new grooves in a partly worn
                                                          tyre in order to extend its life.

        Re-mould/Re-Cured                                 The process of applying a new layer of rubber to a tyre
                                                          casing to extend its life.
