     Why the focus?

                     R U OK?






        Anxiety


        Anxiety is more than just feeling stressed or worried, anxiety is when these anxious feelings are
        ongoing and exist without any particular reason or cause.

        Signs and symptoms:

           •  Physical: panic attacks, hot & cold flushes, racing heat, tightening chest, tense

           •  Psychological: excessive fear, worry and obsessive thinking

           •  Behavioral: avoidance of situations that make you feel anxious which can impact work and
               social lift

        The purpose of these guidelines it to help members of the public provide first aid to someone who
        may be experiencing depression. If you notice these signs in your store please use the following
        mental health first aid guidelines, use the R U OK? method, or talk to your store or Field Manager.
