H How to use this Activity Book
This health and safety activity book contains all information, tools and resources your store requires
to conduct PETstock’s health and safety standards and focus for the month. By ensuring that you
complete this activity book you will be maintaining compliance with PETstock’s business and legislative
requirements for health and safety.
The following symbols are used throughout this book:
Store Superhero and Store Manager
This symbol indicates activities/information gathering/tasks for Store Safety Superhero’s
and/or Store Managers to complete.
Information Only
This symbol indicates material that is provided for Employees to review during the staff meeting
and refer to throughout the month. No action is required for items marked with this symbol.
Action required
This symbol indicates items where action is required by Employees during the staff
meeting and throughout the month as directed.
Team Activity
This symbol indicates team activities which are required to be completed during the monthly
staff meeting or throughout the month. This could involve competency checks, eLearning, or activities.
Where do I keep this book?
Store Superhero and Store Managers; Please complete tasks as directed on the Monthly Planner
and once signed and complete please store a copy in your stores WHS folder.
Employees; Once you have completed your assigned activities please keep a copy should you need to
refer to it in future. Copies will also be made available on The Kennel.

When completing the monthly activity book, we want all of our employees to get as much knowledge and
information out of it as possible. We encourage you to ask questions, provide feedback and get involved with
safety solutions for you and your store. Below are some helpful hints for completing this book.
If you are asked to check something, provide some details about what you observed.
If you are asked to ask a team member something, provide details of their response.
If you are asked to discuss something, takes notes on what was discussed and the outcomes of this discussion.
