The Australian government withdraws the diploma-level National Health Training Package for naturopathy; establishes degree-level education as the minimum level of accredited naturopathic education in Australia. XX

AANMC publishes revised college-wide Core Competency document. Institutes Comprehensive Graduate Surveys. Charles “Mac” Powell, PhD, becomes president of Bastyr University.
AIHM launches first Interprofessional Fellowship in Integrative Health and Medicine. Led by Tieraona Low Dog, MD, Founding Fellowship Director. Inaugural AIHM Fellowship class
includes MDs, NPs, DCs, DDSs, DOs, pharmacists, acupuncturists, and psychologists. First interprofessional integrative medical Fellowship leading to Board Certification through American Board of Physician Specialties (ABPS). NUNM, OCOM, OHSU, and WSU become clinical training sites through OCIM. Team includes Mimi Guarneri, MD, Danny Friedland, MD, Seroya Crouch, ND, and Tabatha Parker, ND, lead with Dr. Low Dog.
Michael Schanz, MBA, becomes the third president of Boucher Institute (BINM), bringing the expertise of business, management, and leadership.
NCNM expands with Master of Integrative Mental Health and Master in Homeopathy programs, as well as a five-year Doctorate of Science in Oriental Medicine (DSOM), the first ever Doctorate of Science in Oriental Medicine in the US.
SCNM builds the Community Commons, a 48,000 square foot LEED Platinum facility. The Commons houses an interdisciplinary Pain Center, teaching kitchen, café, medicinary and library.
