Mono braid bend
This heavy-duty knot will join dissimilar angling lines, braid-to-monofilament, and so on.
Tie a Bimini twist (see pages 122–123) in the lighter or more flexible of the two lines (1), then wrap
it twice around the other line (2). Take the second line at least six times around its opponent,
before tucking the tag end back through the remaining bight (3, 4). Tug the arrangement snug and
tight (5). Cut off the end close to the knot.
