            Srikanta Acharya

            Srikanta Acharya is a Kolkata-based modern Bengali singer-
            songwriter and music director. Srikanta was born in Kolkata, India
            and is son of Rohini Nandan Acharya and Kana Acharya. He got
            formal training in Rabindrasangeet from Dakshinee. He also got
            trained in tabla from Ustad Ali Ahmed Khan. He quit his job as a sales
            professional and then Utpal Chakravarty, proprietor of an old music
            store convinced him to drop in his cassettes at Sagarika Music
            He got a call from them within a week and they offered him a contract to sing for them. Srikanta
            Acharya is now a household name across the world among audiences who listen to Bengali music.
            Musical life of Srikanta started from the world of Bengal culture. He is a qualitative songs-tan of
            Bengal music. He received so many awards like Outstanding Young Person's Award for his
            achievements in Music awarded by the North Calcutta Junior Chamber, Anandabazar Award for
            Best Puja Album of the Year – Roddur and many more.

                                            Raghab Chatterjee started his music as a guitarist at the age of
                                            9. After long time practice, he started professional playing with
                                            so many renowned singers in Kolkata and across India. Singing
                                            is a natural habit from childhood. Raghab is a great admirer and
                                            listener of S.D. Burman, R. D. Burman, Madanmohan, Sudhin
                                            Dasgupta, Salil chaudhury and so many legendary music
                                            composers and singers. His mother Smt. Shila Chatterjee also a
                                            finest classical artist who encouraged him to start singing.

            He started learning from his mother and after that Dr Amya ranjan Banerjee and finally he got
            chance at ITC/SRA under guru Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty for 6 years. Recently he is taking lessons from
            Ustad Rashid Khan. His Bengali albums are Bhorer alo, Tumi nei bole, Sharodia, Aat range, Amar
            akash, Bhubanamohini, Shamiana, Nameplate, Srot, Rong number, Khuda jaane, Ebong
            Rabindranath, Ebar najrul, Songfusion etc. In hindi Rishtaa, Bandish fusion, Raaga rocks and many
            more. He sang in hindi films like Devdas, Tere naam, Raincoat, Parinita, Well done abba etc. In
            Bengali films, Patal ghor,Bandhan, Suvodristi, Bor asbe ekhuni, Rupkatha noe, Chaturango, cholo
            paltai, Baishe srabon, Bitnoon etc. He sang for many famous film directors like Rituporno Ghosh,
            Sujoy Ghosh, Sanjay leela Bhansali, Dev anand, Rajkumar Heerani, Pradip Sarkar, Shoojit Sarkar,
            Shyam Benegal, Satish kaushik, Srijit Mukherjee, Kamaleswar Mukherjee, Kaushik Ganguli, Raja Sen
            and many more. Raghab is a finest and rocking stage performer, usually sings his own songs in
            Bengali, Hindi, filmy, sufi, old melody, ghazals and peppy songs too. He is also doing music direction
            for albums and films now. Raghab has rendered ICC world cup cricket theme song 2011 for Shankar
            Ehsaan Loy. He performs across India and USA, Canada, Kuwait, London, UK, Nigeria, Bangkok,
            Australia, Muscat, Hongkong, Abu dhabi, Dubai, Qatar, Bangladesh and lots of prestigious shows
            around the world.
            He also got some great awards like National Scholarship in classical vocal by India govt, ITC/SRA
            scholarship, R D Burman award, Uttam Kumar award, Kalakar award, Mirchi music award, HMV
            Golden Talent Contest winner and Bangla Sangeet Samman from Government of West Bengal. He is
            a regular performer in all TV and FM radio channels.
