It is a matter of great pride and pleasure that Madras Masters Lodge No.103 is celebrating its
Centenary on 1st July 2023 at Chennai, and to attend and participate in these joyous celebrations is a privilege.
The Madras Masters Lodge was consecrated on 24th March 1923 with main object to serve as a Lodge of Emulation and Instruction. I am a firm believer that Masonic Education or imparting knowledge of masonic ethics, values or protocols is paramount for the development of freemasonry. It is said that by daily advancement in our masonic life we become better members of our society this Lodge is doing a good job in this direction. The Madras Masonic Journal published by the Lodge is one of the best masonic publications and happy to note that they are bringing out a Special Centenary Journal to commemorate the Centenary of the Lodge.
It is a matter for joy and satisfaction that this Lodge has successfully completed one hundred years of excellent masonic service and can look back with pride and pleasure on its work and achievements.
Eminent Brethren have filled the coveted Eastern Chair of the Lodge and it is to their credit that Brethren and Lodges in the Southern Region have always looked to this Lodge for instruction and improvement.
The jubilee of a Lodge is rightly made an occasion for stock taking and celebrations of past achievement.
I once again congratulate the Lodge on its proud record of work in the past and praythatit may continue to prosper in the future. I wish the Centenary Celebrations every success.
