have been born again and washed in the blood
of Jesus Christ and repented of sin. This sounds
like Oprah's gospel.
Let me read in Romans chapter 6 because
this is going to tie in very well. I’ll ask you to
read the entire chapter later this week and
consider the context, but verse 17 says, “But
God be thanked, that ye were the servants of
sin, but ye have” — what’s the next word? —
“obeyed…” Obeying the Gospel is mentioned
several times. It's mentioned in Hebrews; it's
mentioned in the book of Acts; it's mentioned
in Romans 1, Romans chapter 16 and other
places. A person cannot be saved unless they
obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Verse 17 goes
on to say, “but ye have obeyed from the heart
that form of doctrine which was delivered you,”
