COUNTRY MUSIC
A Cesspool of Filth

I started several sermons over the last 29
years in Luke chapter 16, verse 15, but I want to
read this one verse just as a springboard to step
into our message tonight. Our message is going
to be titled "Country Music, a Cesspool of Filth,”
and I basically have three points. I'm going to
speak to you briefly about “The History of
Country Music,” and then, number two, “The
Danger of Country Music,” and, number three,
“The False Gospel of Country Music.”
Now, you're going to be asking, “Why do
you want to preach on this? No one in this
church listens to country music.” There are
several reasons because many today believe
that country music is an alternative to rock and
