Page 29 - What You Need to Know to Find the Right Builder
P. 29
Chapter 7
In Closing.
After reading this book and getting an idea of the many decisions and processes
that you can expect during your build, it should be apparent that having the right
builder is imperative. Your builder can either be a conduit of success and
satisfaction or an ill prepared harbinger of mistakes, and disputes. Do some
homework before you hire. Get to know your builder, not just by talking to them,
but check references and visit homes that they have already completed. Know
your budget but be realistic in your expectations. If your budget is $300,000 then
you deserve a well built $300,000 home. If that means that it’s only 1,500 square
feet instead of 2,000 square feet, then at least it will be energy efficient, strong,
and will last for many years without additional expense for repairs.
I hope this short book has helped in your search for a quality builder. When
you’re ready to move forward with a building project, I hope you will consider
