Opening Workbook from Desktop, Local Disk or Folder

Locate the folder (on the desktop, local disk or folder).

Double click on the file to open it.

Closing Workbook

To close an existing Excel workbook:
1. Choose File from the menu bar.
2. Click on Close from the cascading menu.

OR

Click on the Close button on the Title Bar.

NB: Excel will prompt you to save information if anything new has been
typed between the last save and the time you close the file.
