 THE REVIEW

TANGASSERI, KERALAProud of you, Rotarian Lester! This message was posted on the Association’s official Facebook page.
Denise and I are on a private visit to Kerala, God’s Own Country. I was invited to speak at a Rotary International District Meet in Trivandrum by Rotarian Lester Fernandez (extreme right) who is a member of the Tangasseri
Branch of our Association.
I witnessed first-hand, the admiration and respect that the Rotarians of Kerala have for Lester. He is super-efficient, yet warm, friendly and simple. A true leader! Felt so good meeting a dynamic Anglo-Indian who has won the hearts, love and respect of people from so many other communities. Bursting with pride!
Look forward to many more Anglo-Indians touching lives and winning the admiration of people belonging to other communities too, just as Lester and Rotarians David Hilton (of the Dehradun branch) and Moses Pears (of the Madurai branch) have done over the years.
(Here is a photograph of Lester, his wife Carol, children Andrea and Andre, with Denise and me.)

AOur Vijayawada Branch President on a TV Show
t 32, Leonard Lambert is probably the youngest of all our Branch Presidents. He is mature, dynamic and focused. An Assistant Professor at VVIT Engineering College
in Vijayawada, he looks after Soft Skills training and Campus Placements at his college.
If you want to catch him in action, tune in at 9 pm today to ETV2.
He is one of the panellists on the programme titled Prathidhvani - a panel discussion on ‘Improvement of skills and the role of APSSDC’. The discussion was recorded in Telugu though Leonard spoke mostly in English. He does, however, speak Telugu quite fluently.
Leonard Lambert is certainly a role model for our youth in India today and we wish him well.

a very successful
AGM of the Podanur

over by Dr Oscar
Nigli, National
Vice President and
Governing Body
Member. Mr Philip Fowler
was elected President, and
dynamic former President Mrs
Kumar now holds the fort as Secretary.
is a performing and a star branch, contributing much to the growth of the community. It was on the map of the country for reaching out to help Cynthia Bosser and completely funding her kidney transplant, thanks to the effort of Ms Kumar, Mr Fowler and the excellent branch committee who coordinated with our President-in- Chief to make this possible.
