Outstanding conformation hunter/dressage prospect Bourbon is as smooth as his name implies. Lovely conformation and kind disposition make this fellow an excel- lent hunter prospect. Watch him go through the jump chute on his video, it is just like pouring liquid from a bottle. A brilliant light bay means he will definitely be eye catching in the ring.
Sire: A sportsman from head to toe, that’s how Buckingham presented himself at the licensing in Vechta in 2013. Under the saddle he surpassed all expecta- tions and it was no surprise that he became the best dressage horse of his stallion performance test with a breeding value of 154 for dressage. His three fantastic basic gaits and his constant willingness to perform were rated with outstanding grades and the test riders were absolutely delighted. He got 9.5 for his rideability. This sportiness is no coincidence. His father, Bourdeaux, was placed 4th at the World Championships of Young Dressage Horses with Eva Moller. The dam’s
sire Rousseau came second in these Championships in 2003 as well. Performance scores given, 9 character, 9.25 rideability, 7.33 jumping ability, 9 trot, 9.25 canter, 8.5 walk and 8.13 cross country.
Dam: Essen is a lovely athletic mare with an upcoming career in the dressage ring. She is by the dual purpose stallion Earl who comes from bloodlines known to produce top dressage abilities and jumping talent. Earl’s test results confirm his dual purpose tendency. Earl’s sire, Escudo I, has excellent jumping ability, and beautiful elastic gaits. Earl received a 9 for his walk, an 8 for his trot, 8.5 for his canter and a 9 for his willingness to work. Earl convinced at the performance test by all criteria, especially with his rideability and his willingness to work. He impressed because of his marvelous topline, his well-shaped, correct and harmo- nious riding horse conformation and his perfect character.
