Petty Cash Drawer

Title: Financial & Bookkeeping Controls for Petty Cash Drawer

Purpose: To establish a uniform method of accounting and bookkeeping controls for the Petty Cash
Drawer

Procedure:

The Board of Education recognizes the convenience of a petty cash drawer in the day to day operation of
a school district, but the Board is also aware of the abuses that can result from the establishment of such
funds unless there are proper controls.

Because of these concerns, the Board does not authorize the establishment or use of petty cash.
