16 LIVING @ SCCL, July 2018
First, we must say, as one of the region's finest performance venues, the 600-seat Duke Family Performance Hall on the campus of Davidson College has quickly become a popular cultural resource for the Charlotte metro area.
The troupe: In their 53rd year, the DCP have received glowing reviews for performances of most challenging repertory. They are just exceptional. Don't miss this or anything else they stage.
The play: if you are not familiar, it is the quintessential 20th century southern tale. If you saw the movie or television adaptations, prepare for a different experience. This play by Robert Harling is meant for a live audience.
Location: Davidson is a lovely place to visit and enjoy an overnight stay. Great shops, restaurants, and a college town vibe. It's easy to get to and Lake Norman is just across the street (I-77). L
