SOFTBALL
What’s New at Water’s Edge Park
If you have not been to the softball field lately, there are some new additions.
Through a unique and creative agreement with the SCCLCA Board, the Softball Club began selling advertising space in March. To date, nineteen advertisers have signed contracts, and twenty-three fence panels display their products and services. The income raised
is split: the club portion will fund capital improvements at the field, and the HOA portion goes to the general fund. The community benefits from the additional revenue, and no HOA dues are needed to fund the improvements.
The club thanks Mark Mandle who, with the guidance of Geneva Greene from FSR, developed the program and project approval procedures, and took the lead in making the sales calls. Thanks also to the SCCLCA
It has been eleven years since we moved to SCCL,
and if someone had told me we would be doing all
the things we’re doing, I would have never thought it possible. Think back on those times and how have things changed, or not, for you.
We have always been on a bike, taken short rides and one or two overnights, but experiencing what we do by being part the terrific group of people in the Motorcycle Club is giving me memories to carry with me for as long as I’m able.
Besides our biweekly breakfast rides, there are so many planned extended trips that it is hard to know which ones to choose – so many choices to make. We have seen many changes over the years. Besides getting more gray, more of us on three wheels, and the loss of several of our members, we remain a steady group doing the thing we love to do best - and that is to ride! Come check us out and see what a fun time we have. Till next month, ride safe.
