Performance Cafe 2018 Coming
July is here with a new edition of the Performance Cafe. If you have been to a Performing Arts’ Performance Cafe before, then you know how wonderful it is to be sitting at a table, enjoying homemade cookies and something to drink while watching our show. Although the cookies will be the same, this show will be somewhat different.
This year there will be two radio-style, spine-tingling mysteries along with commercials. However, our commercials are not the usual jingles you may have heard years ago on the radio, but are for products you only wish existed, and are intended to raise an eyebrow and make you laugh.
The date is Friday, July 27, with two performances at The Lodge. The first performance is 10:30 a.m. and the second is at 2:30 p.m. There will be numbered-table seating, and tickets are just $5.00.

SINGING FOR PLEASURE
On Friday, April 27, Singing for Pleasure sang for the residents of Carmel Place. The program included two
solos, lots of revelry, and sing-alongs, and many of the residents indeed sang right along. Under the direction of Shirley Mole, the group meets the second and fourth Friday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in Ballroom C at The Lake House. No auditions necessary.

RED HAT SOCIETY SCCL CHAPTER 5
Our Red Hats Ladies of the Lake were Senoritas and Senoras for a day. Since we meet on the first Tuesday of the month, we celebrated Cinco de Mayo a little early with a party at the Lake House.
We enjoyed delicious fajitas from Taqueria El Manhattan, while listening to Mariachi music. We played games and even had a piñata, which we named Pedro. We had many laughs, lots of fun, and lots of
