Exceptional times ahead of us
In one of the previous ‘Stay Connected’ newsletters which the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector publishes, I had written that the Council is determined to be closer to the sector and
this can only be done by being more present in your work so that together we may see that this work is more efficient and useful without any duplication of resources and funds.
In these exceptional times facing our country, but also the world, where some of you are giving great support to the health authorities by engaging themselves with a good number of volunteers. There are others that due to regulations issued
by the Health Authorities, had to cease all their work. This means not only financial loss but more importantly cessation of voluntary work in supporting the communities where they operate. This is a big blow for the sector but should not discourage us because we know that this difficult period
will soon be overcome and the sector shall continue again from where it left. However, there is a need of support from
