LIONS, KIWANIS & LEGION NEWS
The Stirling Legion is proud to give back to our community.
The funds we raise from our meat rolls, silent auction and
bottle drive are used to support local initiatives. A cheque
presentation of $500 was given to Chloe Choinard, a long-
time member of the Stirling Figure Skating Club. Accepting
on her behalf is Typhany Choinard. The Stirling Public
School was given $1000 for their Food For Learning program
that provides healthy breakfast, lunch and snacks to students
and their families. The RCL Ontario Provincial Command
donated $3900 to the Stirling-Rawdon Fire Department to purchase defibrillators.

LIONS CLUB OF LAND O’LAKES
Dear community of Land O’Lakes,
You have contributed used eye-glasses in the
past to our vision (Sight First) programs.
Thank you for that.
This year, from 24 March - 2 April we will be
using the eye-glasses boxes for one more
project.
We often have tiny items that we have
collected from one place or another. Items
that we might never use.
But, imagine if these items are placed in a tiny
eye-glasses box and given to someone who
can actually use them. Wouldn't that be great!
Thank you DG Linda Zwier for a great idea!
