It's not every day that we receive an order from a
customer some 15,000 km away from 'downtown'
Ormsby. That is what happened a few days ago
with a request to deliver a birthday gift basket to
'Uncle Bob' near Coe Hill, from his niece
Christine, in Australia.
We were happy to help, and when we showed up
unannounced yesterday, we were a complete
surprise to Uncle Bob. It seems his phone line is
still out, his only means of contact with distant
family members, and he didn't realize that until
no one phoned him on his 88th birthday. We had
a really lovely visit and look forward to more in
the future.
