BUSY TIME OF YEAR

October was another great month for the Chamber! We had three new members join this month, that
brings our membership in 2022 to 120! We held events in October – and what a busy month. There was a
great turnout for each of these and we thank all of our ambassadors and members and local residents for
attending those events. Our first annual Business Excellence Awards was a HUGE success for the
Chamber and I personally want to say THANK YOU to all the members who sponsored and attended the
ceremony. I am so proud of all the members, to have our first awards event fully sponsored by members is
absolutely incredible!

Congratulations to all the nominees and winners of 2022!

For November, we have alot of activities planned, and it's the season for Santa to come and visit. On November 26th, Madoc
will see the Santa Claus Parade start at 7pm, followed by hot chocolate and visit with the Jolly fellow at the the Kiwanis Hall. We
have a lot of great businesses, big and small, who have big hearts for our community. Our businesses are often asked to open
their pocketbooks to help many of our wonderful non-profit organizations, schools and individuals in need. The Chamber would
like to say thank you to all those who have donated this year to the Santa Claus Parade. We hope you enjoy this year's event as
we bring it back to the downtown core.

As holiday shopping starts, we hope you enjoy shopping locally this year, our merchants have so many wonderful products in
their stores and please don't forget about all the home based businesses that create and sell products as well. Central Hastings
has so much to offer lets support each other and keep our local economy going.
