                                  Humanitarian Aid















              Nepal 2015

              Nepal earthquake
              The Nepal earthquake of 2015, was one of the most devastating
              earthquake that struck near the city of Kathmandu in central Nepal
              on April 25, 2015. An estimate of 9,000 people were killed,
              thousands more were injured and more than 600,000 structures in
              Kathmandu and other towns in Nepal were either damaged or
              destroyed.

              As part of KP1M Response Team for local and international
              disaster relieve, a team from SP Care Group consisting of
              Dr. Prakash, Dr Harry, MA Mohan and 2 staff nurses were among
              the crew of 34 humanitarian relieve team.

              We were deployed to the town of Dhulikhel. There we served the
              people at the University Hospital Katmandu and a nearby village
              which was situated up on a hill called Phalate. We assisted the
              Emergency Department of Hospital Dhulikhel throughout our stay
              dealing with various injury cases. The trip was meaningful and
              fulfilling as we managed to help many in need.








                                                           Myanmar 2017

                                                           Food Flotilla (small, military ship) to Myanmar
                                                           Kelab Putra 1 Malaysia and MAPIM sent a team of volunteers on a
                                                           Food Flotilla (Nautical Aliya) to Myanmar and Bangladesh. About
                                                           200 volunteers were on this vessel comprising medical, logistics and
                                                           press personnel.

                                                           The medical volunteers from SP Care were :
                                                           1. Dr. Suriya Prakash 2. Dr. Harry Dinesh 3. MA. Mohan
                                                           Mr. Mohan was part of the forward team who flew about two weeks
                                                           earlier to Bangladesh to carry out the necessary medical arrangements
                                                           for the team in Bangladesh. The forward team was in Bangladesh for
                                                           one week.
                                                           While on board we conducted many training sessions including CPR
                                                           courses for all volunteers. Our medical team conducted many drills
                                                           for our members.

                                                           Here on board the vessel we also operated an in-house clinic 24 hours
                                                           a day.
                                                           It was a first time experience for most of ous as we had never been on
                                                           board a vessel and sailing for 3 weeks.
