Each year we offer our families pre- registration discounts for the upcoming school year, beginning in November with our Thanksgiving Promotion and ending in June with our Summer Kick-off. Since registration is seasonal, pre-registrations help to fund the rest of the school year and allow us to give discounts and some fun give- a-ways to our families.
Our biggest pre-registration discount is Thanksgiving Weekend when we offer 25% off total registration fees and giveaway over $1000 in Amazon cash to help with Christmas. This promotion pulls in over 1000 pre-registrations each year.
Following is our Christmas and New Year discount of 20% the last week of December.
We mail out Christmas postcards to all of our families in December and let them know they can enjoy this discount from December 25 - January 1.

Needs-based Scholarship
Needs-based Scholarship applications must be submitted in June and July each year. HLA’s scholarship fund is funded primarily by its Box Tops program and any donations which families donate. Applications are submitted and a committee of HLA staff work together to allocate the funds to the families with the most need. Since we have limited scholarship funds, we feel that families should be considered on the basis of need rather than first come first serve. The committee prayerfully considers each family and the allocation of these limited funds.
Student Scholarships
HLA gives scholarships to three special seniors each school year. The goal of these scholarships is to recognize certain students that have achieved something outstanding that may not be otherwise recognized by academic achievement awards and scholarships. There is a committee of staff and board member families that serve to choose these scholarship winners.
HLA offers special discounts and scholarships to our families who are in need, are missionaries or are in the military. As always, we look at each situation case by case if the family does not fit into one of these or if we have used all of our scholarship funds.
Missionaries only pay the $60 annual processing fee before August 1 each year and $85 after August 1. All credit review and transfer fees are waived. Missionary families do pay the Senior Fee. Missionary scholarships are offered to both US and foreign missionaries who work full-time in the field and who are completely supported by donations. Each missionary family must submit an application each year for scholarship discount.
Military families pay $85 per year and are responsible for credit review and transfer fees. Military families do pay the Senior Fee.
Only ACTIVE military families are eligible and must submit an application along with their military ID each year. Each military family must submit an application each year for scholarship discount.
