Building Usage & Responsibilities
BRINGING YOUR FAMILY TO WORK
HLA is all about family! We love to see families come to visit and participate in staff events. If children/family need to be at the office, they should be in designated areas (REC Room and Learning Center) and be quiet and respectful of other staff and guests. Infants and toddlers that are not able to be alone can come to the office but we ask that staff be considerate of other staff and the work environment. Family should not “hang out” in shared office spaces or in other collaborative work spaces or where meetings are being held.
USING HLA BUILDING FOR PERSONAL USE
HLA is blessed to have a wonderful building for our offices and tutorial. We are more than happy to share this building for personal use under the following guidelines. Please check for availability and scheduling with the Office Manager. Staff using the building/premises are responsible for damages and must leave the building in the
original condition in which it was found. Staff may not disrupt the tutorial setup without authorization. Staff may use tables, chairs, equipment and decorations owned by HLA but must coordinate with the Office Manager for specific needs. Staff must supply their own consumable products. Staff must be the last person to leave the building and set the alarm. Staff must be ONSITE during the event – this section is referring to staff personal use only. Family and friends who may want to use the building will need to sign a building agreement and pay the refundable deposit. The deposit can be waived if a staff member remains on-site during the event. Approval for staff use is on a case by case basis and may not always be approved.
EQUIPMENT/SUPPLIES FOR PERSONAL USE
HLA is very generous when it comes to sharing. Staff may use printers and postage machine for personal use. We ask that if there are large print jobs to check with the Office Manager. If you are needing to mail one or two regular envelopes infrequently then by all means do so. If you have larger packages or multiple, regular mail in which you need postage, you are welcome to use HLA postage and pay for it. All that HLA requires is that you use good and fair judgment when assessing your needs and using equipment, postage, and supplies.
INTERNET & SOCIAL MEDIA FOR PERSONAL USE
Staff may enjoy internet privileges anytime providing there are not bandwidth issues. Social Media, streaming audio/video and other personal use is allowed providing it does not interfere with job performance, customer service and productivity. Inappropriate content is unacceptable. Use good judgment.
