Just over a year ago I was a personal trainer with no experience in my current position. HLA took a chance on me and allowed me to grow into a new career. HLA is also very flexible allowing its employees to have a great family/work life balance.

Willing to work with anyone as long as they are willing to try. You all took me in when I had no real experience, and you are trying to help me get started in a serious career. It's a wonderful Christian environment where everyone stays upbeat and willing to help each other out. With coffee and laughter, who can keep you down?

I started out loving HLA because I love homeschooling and I felt I could help others have a similar great experience. Then adding the flexibility to work around family obligations made it even better. Now I think, in addition to these two things, I treasure the relationships as much as anything. HLA is a family, and I love the kind way we relate to each other. Having worked for other "Christian" companies, I can say without a doubt that HLA truly "walks the talk."

HLA is guidance, strength, and family to me. Working here has allowed me to build confidence and self-esteem. I may still be socially awkward, but it is nice to be accepted for who I am in a work place! I feel accomplished completing tasks and keeping up with them. I get hard on myself when I can’t accomplish those tasks because I want to represent HLA in a wonderful light that I always see. HLA has done so many things that a normal workplace would not do for employees. The Flexibility of the job.....is just amazing!
