Jana read well at an early age, which
opened the door for her enjoyment of many learning experiences during her 13 years of homeschooling. Involvement in various support groups and co-ops was a blessing, bringing friendships with other homeschoolers, as well as giving her more academic opportunities. Her interests in biology and midwifery have led to the completion of one year’s worth of pre- nursing requirements through dual enrollment studies. Jana has been accepted to the nursing school at Roane State Community College where she hopes to complete her goal of becoming an RN. She works as a barista in a non- profit coffee house run by the Tennessee Adoption Foundation and as a billing clerk in a medical office. Jana enjoys volleyball, church activities, kayaking and volunteering at a crisis pregnancy center.
