2020 Key Achievements:
• Winner of Value Stream of the Year 2020.
• Cementless PS capacity increase - 4 new cementless PS
grinders in production.
• Successful pilot value stream for the introduction of
continuous improvement.
• Successful Build at Risk for Cementless PS.
• 5 step process for CTU implemented successfully.
2020 People Development:
• James Fogarty (Ops team lead), Trevor O’Meara (Quality Team lead) and Rebecca Quinn (Engteam lead) joined the Fem’s team in 2020.
• 7 associates moved into secondment roles.
• 6 associates currently undertaking the Management and
Team Leadership diploma course.
• 3 new line facilitator roles.
Plans for 2021:
• Reduction of ergo issues in polish, CTU and prep.
• New clean line CPSS0026 installation.
• 5 new grinders on track for Attune primary product. • Work to begin on the integrated packaging line.

• HA plasma project introducing E2E manufacture of Hip & Shoulder HA coated products to the DePuy Synthes Cork site. This includes machining and a fully automated HA coating line covering 148 product codes across 7 product families for hip and shoulder products.
• Increase in output in Pinnacle and Summit cell driven by associate engagement
2020 People Development:
• John Calnan seconded to Team Lead
• Kieran Roche and Mossy O’Neill supported Engineering on
Glenosphere project.
• Eoghan Barry, Ken Brennan, Damien Gannon supported

• Pat Mulclair and Dave Broderick seconded to Emphasis project • Dave Pollock seconded to HA
Plans for 2021:
• Launch of Actis, Emphasys Shells and Emphasys Stems
• Pinnacle Expansion plan – 6 new machines planned to come online
