New NTX machine for RP Revise
2020 Key Achievements:
• Introduced quick release universal fixtures in rumble
• Tip RP revise reduction of scrap from 25% to < 5% led
by Engineering
• New CMM for RPS+ to increase capacity to meet demand.
• Supported 3D machining during 2020
• RP Revise - New machining platform delivered in 2020 – early Ops
engagement model led by Philip Cunningham
• Lead Time reduction of 25% delivered for internal process during
the year
• Roll out of Continuous Improvement boards - driven by Philip

2020 People Development:
• 3 new line facilitators developed during 2020
• Mark O’Connell seconded into a Lean role

Plans for 2021:
• Kemet cross validation
• Move of several machines into the old Poly area
• New Cementless Knees platform for machining
• Integration of Cork casting on Machining for RP Revise
• Extra Op2 capacity for RP S+ OP2 machining
• Trial of automatic loading for FB S+
• Development for FB S+ on new machining platform
FOUNDRY
2020 Key Achievements:
• Removal of the original Shell Room & installation of automated Fast Pour line.
• New Automated Shell Line & Boiler Clavesupporting 100% of production build.
• PoroCoat: Volume ramp up - supporting keyproduct families.
2020 People Development:
• Ken O’Shea – Secondment to Engineering.
• John Woods – Secondment to Quality.
• Jamie O’Driscoll – DePuy’s first (ever) engineering
apprentice.
• Mick Day – 3D Laser support.
• Jimmy O’Sullivan – Change management certification. • Martin Brickley – Eng Projects support.
Plans for 2021:
• Implementation of New Poro coat Capacity & Building. Extension – complete with 2 furnace’s, 4 spray booths & 13 prep benches.

• Progression of ‘’Fast Pour line’’ project to meet Q2, 2022
