Key Highlights of 2020
There has been a tremendous amount
of activity and change within the Cork Training team these past 12 months. Like all other departments, we’ve had to adapt our work practices due to COVID-19. However, that didn’t stop us from being
a constant support to the Cork site & bringing real value to the organisation. The team were involved in many initiatives throughout the year – for example: The launch of the DePuy Cork Onboarding portal has streamlined the whole hiring process for both hiring managers & new
employees. Also, the Worldwide migration of ComplianceWire from 5 to 1 instance was initiated and is being led by Claire Daly. Dermot Daly is rejoining the DePuy Cork team after spending several years working with the Synthes, Zuchwil site as the Training Leader. Claire Daly and Terry Goldsmith are moving to a newly created department within the MDD Training
team – Centre of Excellence (Technology sector). Both will continue to be based
in the Cork Site. Looking ahead to 2021
a big task for the Cork Training team will be the review of all Support & Production curricula (there’s over 4,000 to be reviewed). Also, the team are constantly
looking at new training methods to make the Learning/ Training experience more interactive for our employees. Pretty much all the team are working remotely but we will continue to have a presence onsite to perform those training tasks that must be done face to face. For example: WI-8218: Standard Work Training Assessments
for the Production Associate group. Key Member Highlight – Terry Goldsmith (CAPA of the Year) We were very proud
of Terry Goldsmith who recently received CAPA of the year during the Quality Week 2020. A huge congratulations to Terry.
