Let The Broth h d and Fields put y in the driv ’s seat
So here comes the best deal you’ve seen a long time...
Police Officers, family members and friends have a chance to win a fully-loaded 2016 Jeep Wrangler, and at the same time help family members of cops who have been killed in the line of duty.
The Brotherhood for the Fallen has combined with Jam Werks, which is part of the Fields Auto Group, to raffle off this rockin’ vehicle that lists at about $30,000 but has been upfitted with nearly $25,000 worth of upgrades courtesy of Chrysler and Mopar Auto Parts. Tickets are $100 and only 1,000 are being sold through the Brotherhood.
“We are grateful to Jim Moyer and his crew at Fields Jeep in Glenview for orchestrating this fundraiser,” said Matt Swain, a Brotherhood director who is spearhead- ing the raffle. “Jim took it and ran with it and created this amazing-looking Jeep. It’s pretty amazing what they have done.”
Moyer, Vice-President of Operations for Fields, helped start Jam Werks in 2013 to provide custom-built Jeeps for organizations to use in fundraisers for families of fallen officers. The first vehicle was raffled in conjunction with the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation (CPMF) in memory of Moyer’s childhood friend, CPD Officer Phillip O’Reilly, who was killed in an auto accident while on duty in March 2003.
Since then, Jam Werks – the “Jam” is for “Jeep and Mo- par” - and Fields have provided vehicles to drive fundrais- ers for Special Olympics, March of Dimes and a second one for the CPMF. Additionally, Jam Werks has built a Jeep for Cubs Manager Joe Maddon that he will drive during this season and will then be raffled off by Cubs charities.
“I have a lot of friends who are police officers,” Moyer noted. “One of our customers recommended getting to- gether with the Brotherhood for the Fallen because of the great work they do, and it was a no-brainer. We are also very fortunate to have the support from Chrysler and Mo- par.”
The Jeep the Brotherhood is raffling was recently on display at the Chicago Auto Show. Some its upgrades in- clude an off-road kit, a safe under the passenger seat, cus- tomized interior accent lighting and a winch.
The winner will be selected on Aug. 1 using the Illinois Lottery Daily Pick 3. Whoever holds the raffle ticket with those three numbers will win the Jeep, or have the option of taking $30,000 in cash. Swain said about 500 tickets have been sold. Proceeds will be used to provide help to families of fallen officers.
To get a ticket, call Swain at 773-592-1135 or email nuprimo@aol.com. Tickets can also be purchased by con- tacting Brotherhood President Rick Caballero at 773-551- 5074 or rickcaballero@yahoo.com. d
