Things took a creative turn in the 8th District, which hosted a Craft Day during which young artists worked with officers to paint their Halloween favorites on canvas.
When the big day arrived, cos- tumed kids fanned out around their neighborhoods for trick-or- treating — even running into some real-life heroes in blue who shared some candy with youngsters.
It might have been Oct. 30, but it was a great time for 9th District officers to take part in the Horizon Science Academy Southwest’s trunk-or-treat festivities. The Cookie Monster-themed CPD vehicle stood out as partici- pants drove by collecting candy.
