11th District keeps wheels turning in community
Chicago Lodge 7 FOP members from the 11th Dis- trict connected with their residents by getting fresh air on Aug. 8 with a community bike ride at Garfield Park.
Through partnerships with Divvy Bikes, the U.S. Census Bureau, St. Leonard’s Ministry and The Night Min- istry, the 11th District was able to engage with commu- nity members for a memora- ble summer evening.
In addition to getting res- idents active, the district also provided shirts, snacks, a bike giveaway and health resources to attendees at the kickoff for the event. The event helped beat the heat while simultaneously offer- ing law enforcement out- reach to community mem- bers.
With 11 relatives who answered the call to service, I understand and am grateful for your sacrifices.
