Community music-making with 11th District members

In an effort to engage with community members, officers in the 11th District sponsored a pop-up music and resource fair on Sept. 5. The event came on Saturday as part of a week- end-long initiative to meet and interact with residents.
Live music by Nesbitt & Friends and booths from local restaurants and vendors lined the streets with food and so- cially distanced games, along with ice cream from the Ice
Cream Bar.

The 11th District attended an “On the Block” event on Sept. 4 before the pop-up concert as a way to kickstart the weekend of engaging community members. That event, in Humboldt Park, featured officers carrying babies, helping kids tie-dye shirts and dancing in the middle of the street.
