E-learning lunches in the 24th District
Chicago Police Officers in the 24th District invested in the fu- ture on Oct. 20 by delivering healthy lunches to children partic- ipating in an e-learning program at a local community center.
Centro Romero, a community-based organization that serves the refugee immigrant population on the Northeast Side of Chi- cago, graciously welcomed in the officers with their donation.
With the support of the Helen and Joe Acevedo Scholarship Memorial Foundation and Be Noble Schools, officers located children who would greatly benefit from the free meals. They were able to surprise the children during their e-learning les- sons.

with free food
Residents of the 25th District received free boxes of food from the community policing office and tactical teams on Oct. 15 at Riis Park.
The day began at 9 a.m. and ran through the afternoon un- til supplies ran out, with officers passing out 600 boxes of food to community members. Individuals pulled up to the Riis Park parking lot, and Chicago Police Officers loaded their vehicles with boxes full of non-perishable food items.
