On July 3, Officers Christopher Georges and Nicholas Prin- cipato were working 911R in the area of 39th and Western when they observed a vehicle running through a red light and crashing into a concrete barrier. As the officers approached, the driver attempted to get up but had sustained multiple fractures. The vehicle then caught on fire, becoming engulfed
in flames. The officers quickly sprang into action, pulling the driver and two passengers away from the burning auto- mobile. Due to the officers’ quick reaction, the victims were saved from further injury.
It is with great appreciation that the Fraternal Order of Police Chicago Lodge #7 presents Officers Georges and Principato with Life Saving Awards.
