Limited Duty Status
Sometimes in life you may experience some type of trauma, stress or just a problem that requires ad- dressing. Peer Support is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and can assist with any prob- lem that may arise. Peer Support is always confi- dential and there are no records kept. If you need to contact the Employee Assistance Program, please

Please be aware that according to the lim- ited duty assignment sheet, when referring to order #E- 03-01-03, it specifies that the Chicago Police Department may reassign a limited duty officer, within his or her scope of limitations, to another assignment within the depart- ment. The officer’s duty hours may change to accommo- date the new job assignment.
Pension Fund
When applying for any type of disability, please noti- fy the Pension Fund by calling 312-744-3891, at least six weeks prior to applying for disability benefits. Keep in mind there may be several months in between applying for benefits and being awarded benefits. Everyone should make a plan; get your finances in order before you apply for benefits.
