MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
The best preparation for the ACT Exam is a solid academic high school curriculum, but test smarts help, too.
Statistics show students who have test-taking preparation strategies, including studying practice tests, format and instructions, substantial- ly outperform other students.
College Visions will offer a session titled, “ACT Workshop, Strictly Strategies” from 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, March 20 at FOP Hall, 1412 West
Washington Blvd., focused on these building these techniques in stu- dents readying for the test.
All public and private high school juniors are required to sit for the ACT Exam this April and by attending the workshop and taking a practice exam, students have a week or two to improve test-taking strategies.
In an effort to prepare Lodge members’ children for the exam, the FOP has invited College Visions to conduct the strategies workshop,
which typically costs $50 or more. It’s offered to children of FOP members for $25. Space is limited.
Presenters are experienced educa- tors who have prepared thousands of Chicago area students to be test smart.
To enroll a child, complete the form below and submit, with check or money order for $25, payable to College Visions, by Wednesday, March 16.
