Chapter Happenings
CHRISTMAS AT THE LODGE
Bluebonnet Decorative Painters held a painting retreat filled with fun and Christmas Spirit!
Diana Pfau taught a Sue Bowers design from the 2018 Back to the Beach Conference! The design is painted on a canvas pillow cover. It is not only a beautiful piece but an excellent face study! “Camp” was held in Waxahachie, Texas, on Friday- Saturday-Sunday, September 7-8-9.
Great painting, great sharing, old and new friendships, and lots of laughing!
Bluebonnet Decorative Painters meets every other month for a painting workshop and a business meeting. In September Jana Reynolds taught
a Snowman Barrel Stave designed by Sheryl King. Texas is HOT until November, so painting a snowman gives us something to look forward to! The chapter also celebrated Libby’s 90th birthday. She still fixes lunch for
their chapter meetings!
GROOVY!!
Bye, Bye ‘60’s Birthday Bunco! Diana Pfau has bid farewell to the ‘60’s! To celebrate, she held a Fundraiser Bunco Birthday Party. Each guest was asked to donate $10, rather than bring a gift. All money will be donated to the preservation of the Decorative Art Collection. Not everyone was a painter, but as Diana’s friends, they have heard about Decorative Painting for decades and willingly shared to help preserve the art form. An honorable cause with some bad behavior and a lot of fun.
BUFFALO SNOWBIRDS DECORATIVE PAINTERS
Buffalo Snowbirds Decorative Painters held a local seminar in September led by member Joyce Studley. We learned how to turn a $1.00 wine glass from the Dollar Store into a charming Halloween design using Quikwood and paint. The final piece holds a
candle on the top. Lisa Shall, owner of Lisa’s Painting Patch, designed Spooky and Jack. Lisa gave Joyce permission to teach the class. Thank you Lisa - we had so much fun that day!
