PAINTING TIPS
I like to mix linseed oil into some of each of the LV colors which makes linework and teardrops easier to paint. I use Lamp Black+linseed oil to outline on the DV side of the scrolls.
I like to paint the background color on a piece of paper so that I can try my color mixes side by side to see if any adjustments need to be made to the color mixes before painting the design. Different background colors change the appearance of the color mixes of your palette.
Use a different brush for each color so you don’t have to clean your brushes so often. Be sure and use a small flat for the smaller areas and a larger flat for the larger areas. I use a bridge to keep my hand out of the wet paint.
