REFLECTIONS ON TABLETOP
These are done in wet paint, very easily. I put a thin layer of BU over the Warm Black undercoating. A thin layer means I put just a tiny bit of turp in my brush and mixed it with the oil paint. Be sure the brush is not dripping wet or it will bleed into your painting. The No. 8 Sharpie should do the trick, but don’t start by putting your brush up next to what you’ve already painted until you are sure you won’t get “bleeding.”
I didn’t do much in the way of reflections, but they can be very effective. Minimal color is indicated on the colormap. Pat with a dry brush.
The shadows under objects on the tabletop are done with CB. These stay very dark under the object casting the shadow, but softened a little on the outer edge by patting a dry brush along that sharp edge.

FINISHING
Paint the border, color of your choice. I used Antique Gold acrylic.
P.S. Don’t forget the Eiffel Tower! You may choose to paint or ink it after transferring. If you stay with the graphite tracing, be
sure to mist it with Krylon matte spray, as a brush-on varnish would wipe it right off.
Embellish however you like. I thought about lining the inside of the box with Toile fabric and still might.
When your painting is dry, apply your favorite varnish. I used JW Satin water-based varnish.
Let air dry for several days, reassemble and enjoy!
