Many retailers are actively seeking new talent for the holiday season as well at this time of year. Staying organized and being well prepared will ensure that you don’t miss out on any great hires.

2 Have a clear process for classifying resumes and make sure all members of the management team are aware:
• Green Folder: Potential candidates
• Yellow Folder: Reserve candidates
• Red Folder: Unfit candidates
3 Ensure all members of your management team:
• Know the recruitment needs of the store
• Ask candidates a few questions on the spot
• Are familiar with your schedule and know to
book interviews during a convenient time
Take the time to look through all the resumes you receive and narrow down which ones get the green light, are to be put on reserve, and do not match the type of individual you are seeking to work in your store.
