  Can You Name That Dino?
You know, the tall, green fellow that looms over the Fossil Fun Games with that catchy smirk on his face? That’s Cementosaurus! He’s a Concretodorian, and you may remember that he was yellow for a number of years, but he was painted green when Rivers of Light opened in 2017 to help him better camouflage with the trees that surround Dino- Rama. If you haven’t spent much too much time hanging out with Cementosaurus, don’t worry, he’s not going anywhere – in fact we’d say he’s parked in that spot for life.
Animal Kingdom’s Tiniest Hidden Mickey Can Be Spotted Within Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama
As you make your way towards Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, take a look at the dinosaur sculpture on the side of the roadway just outside the store. The aptly named Party O’ Saurus sculpture was created by American folk artist Gregory Warmack (more commonly known as Mr. Imagination). Following his signature style, the contemporary artist used almost entirely all-natural materials to create the jagged appearance of the piece. As for that Hidden Mickey...get out your reading glasses. The Mickey is actually found on a pin from a Cast Member name
tag so it’s not the easiest thing to find, but once you do you’ll feel some dino-mite sense of accomplishment, that’s for sure!
Speaking of hidden details, keep an eye out for the street sign that says 498...that’s a reference to the opening of Disney’s Animal Kingdom! (April 22, 1998)
Ever Wonder Why the Whack-a-Mole Game is Called Whack-A-Pachycephalosaur?
Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama really doesn’t get enough credit for all of the details that make this land unique. A real Pachycephalosaurus would have been about 15 feet long and weighed about 900 lbs. For the purposes of the Fossil Fun Games though, their skulls were about 10 inches thick, so in theory Guests can whack them during the gameplay without causing any real damage.
Everyone in Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama is Family!
The interactions between Cast Members in Dino-Rama can be rather understated, but if you pay close attention to everyone working in the area you may notice that they tend to call each other “cousin.” Chester and Hester themselves are not at all interested in paying their employees the big
